Hawaii, you’ve done it to us again. You gave us a mind-jolting, jaw-dropping, completely unforgettable experience once again.
You gave us rains when we needed to slow down. You gave us rainbows when we needed a special memory with our best friends. You gave us wild horses to remind us how to balance our energy. You gave us waterfalls to humble us and remind us how to respect the power of nature. Your inhabitants became our friends, and genuine connections reinvigorated our souls. Wild dolphins took away fears of deep oceans, and gave us a breathtaking underwater encounter we’d never dreamed of.
We expected one thing, and as usual, you delivered something unimaginable. You inspired awe and stirred our passions. We thank God every time we’re able to visit this place, because we see Him at every mountaintop, in every jungle hike, everywhere we look under the sea. This place brings us back to what is true and essential, and there are no words to describe it. When it all feels like a dream, we know you’ve worked your magic in us.
Much of this video was shot on Big Island, Hawaii. We want to make it very clear that EVERYTHING we feature in the footage is still there. There are plenty of beautiful and enchanting areas on Big Island that are not affected by the volcano’s eruption. In fact, if you can make a trip to Big Island soon, we’d recommend going. I can’t imagine being in Hilo and seeing the glow of spewing lava fountains on the horizon. Haunting and awe-inspiring.
Footage captured on Oahu and Big Island, Hawaii.
