What is it about these wide open spaces that makes us return to our true self? With more people pouring into Charleston daily, it’s quickly becoming a concrete jungle to us. So when we need out, we need OUT!
We need fresh breezes, rolling hills and oceans, clear water as far as the eye can see. These are the things that make us feel alive, and re-connect us to God’s beautiful Creation. We love the exploration of it all, the unknown of what to expect. The bubbling energy inside us when we’re on a new adventure and the sense of peace and accomplishment after we tackle it together.
We’ll be traveling to California in September to celebrate a good friend’s new marriage, and although we lived there for a couple years when we first got married, there is always something new to see and do. California is where we first fell in love with exploring. We didn’t know anyone, we only had each other, and that helped us form a deeper connection.
It was the best thing we could have done at the time, and God orchestrated it with ease. Everything fell together when we decided to move, we knew it was right. When we visit California now, there must be some sort of nostalgia of those first two years of our marriage, as well as the excitement of continuing to explore the Central Coast. We always return to Charleston feeling fresh and recharged.
